Portrait Memory Color Technology

Greetings,
July's featured product is
iCorrect Portrait,
our award winning point-and-click
color correction plug-in software for portrait, wedding,
school, sport, and event photographers featuring our
proprietary Memory Color Correction Technology. In
the first July issue of
PictoScript,
(iCorrect Portrait is Not for Dogs), we focused on
iCorrect Portrait's Skin Tone Technology
and how this proprietary technology makes people come
alive. Well, Skin Tone is only part of the
Memory Color
Technology of iCorrect Portrait. There are actually
three distinct parts to the Memory Technology in
Portrait:
Color Cast (Neutral: White, Black, or Gray),
Skin Tone,
and
Custom (Memory
Colors You Define).
Memory Color Tutorial-Learn
how to use Memory Colors
Now, even if your image does not provide a good
representative neutral, you can still correct any skin
tone by activating the Skin Tone Memory Color (the icon
with the face on it) and clicking on several areas of
the face.
Custom Memory Colors
The third Memory Color icon represents custom colors that you create.
Say for example you are working with a backdrop for portraits, you can
create a custom memory color from it to ensure that all of the images with
that backdrop match. Simply open a good representative image from a
certain batch and correct for the tonal range, brightness/contrast and color
balance, then create a custom memory color by clicking on the "Modify/Add
Colors...." button on the right side of the iCorrect Portrait window.
This will bring up the Custom memory color creation menu. Now type the
name for the new memory color and then click on the area of the background
you wish to save. For additional details on adding and modifying
custom memory colors, see the
Creating New Memory Color Definitions section of the user guide.
